Okay, I bought a lot of stuff at GenCon (and in Cincinnati on the way to GenCon). Below the fold is the whole list.

Eeek!

And here am I, having attended two cons recently, and bought nothing but a few dice :)

On the other hand, I probably spend more on trains than you do on games....

The folks at the Forge booth must have really liked you!

[Burning Wheel (Revised)]

I ordered this from IPR today, but I'm interested in hearing what you think.

[Dogs in the Vineyard 2005]

I'm trying to decide whether there's actually enough new stuff in this to justify buying the new edition.

[Polaris]

I'm not sure if I'll ever actually play it, but this one is definitely on my to-buy list.

[The Mountain Witch]

I ordered this from IPR as well, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing the final version.

[The Shadow of Yesterday]

Is this the 2nd edition with the new Fudge-like rules?

[With Great Power]

I'll have to put this on my to-buy list too, now that the final version is out. I'm interested in what you think about it though.

(And this would be more nicely formatted if the MT comment system would cooperate.)

They were rather pleased with my arrival, I think... Though, as I mentioned on my day 1 post, it took an inordinate amount of time to get wireless to work so I could make payment. After that first stop, I made FORGE booth purchases with cash. I found out late on Sunday that the new printing of Prime Time Adventures was actually significantly modified (moreso than DitV), but didn't have the cash, so that'll wait on my next opportunity to buy.

With Great Power is the RPG I'm currently reading (after playing in a demo on Sunday), so it will likely be the first one to get a review.

And yes, the TSOY rules do use FUDGE dice, though not in a way that looks (to a quick scan) all that much like FUDGE.

You know, I'd heard that too (that PTA has
more new and changed material), but I think
I've also seen Matt say that people who already
had the first version didn't really need to
buy the new one, so now I'm not sure what to
believe.

Glad to hear it.

I didn't expect that it would, from what
Clinton has said about the changes, other
than using the FUDGE dice.

Tim --

I mean, please do buy Polaris, but I guarantee you playing it is about twenty times more fun that reading it. Reading it is just wallowing through all my self indulgent, turgid prose.

Playing it... well, the first time someone says "I drive my sword through his heart" you'll suddenly get what it's all about.
